Doctor's Best Sustained-Release Niacin provides 500 mg of niacin as nicotinic acid in a niaXtend® wax-matrix tablet that releases it gradually to reduce the typical niacin flush.

High-dose: 500 mg nicotinic acid is far above the EU tolerable upper intake level for nicotinic acid (10 mg/day)

Ingredienser

Per tablet: niacin (as nicotinic acid) 500 mg (3125% NRV).

Other ingredients: vegetable waxes (rice bran and/or carnauba wax), stearic acid, magnesium stearate (vegetable source), silica.

Allergens: none declared.

Användning

Adults: 1 tablet a day with food, only under medical supervision. Do not take more than one tablet a day. Swallow whole – do not crush or chew. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Varningar

For adults only. High-dose nicotinic acid – use only under medical supervision. 500 mg exceeds the EU tolerable upper intake level of 10 mg/day for nicotinic acid. May cause flushing (warmth, itching, redness), worsened by alcohol or hot drinks. High doses of niacin carry a risk of liver damage – do not use if you have liver or kidney disease, gout, a stomach ulcer or diabetes, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a doctor if you take cholesterol-lowering, blood pressure or other medication. Keep out of reach of children. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place.
