Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC) is a form of carnitine with an acetyl group attached. Like L-carnitine, it helps transport fatty acids into the mitochondria for energy production; unlike plain carnitine, it can cross the blood-brain barrier, which is why it is often chosen by people interested in brain and nerve cell metabolism.

NOW Foods Acetyl-L-Carnitine provides 500 mg per vegetarian capsule, so the dose can be adjusted from 1 to 4 capsules a day.

Ingredienser

Per 2 capsules: acetyl-L-carnitine (from 1,205 mg acetyl-L-carnitine HCl) 1,000 mg.

Anvendelse

Adults: 1–2 capsules once or twice a day as needed. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
