Beskrivning
NOW Foods Red Yeast Rice Extract is a concentrated extract in tablet form – one tablet provides the equivalent of 1,200 mg. Red yeast rice is rice fermented with the yeast Monascus purpureus. It has been used in Asian cooking and traditional practice since around 800 AD – it gives Peking duck its characteristic red colour. NOW's red yeast rice is produced to avoid citrinin, an unwanted by-product of fermentation.

Ingredienser
Per tablet: red yeast rice extract blend (maltodextrin, Monascus purpureus extract) 1,200 mg; calcium (from calcium carbonate) 150 mg; carbohydrate 1 g.
Other ingredients: hydroxypropyl cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, stearic acid (vegetable source), vegetarian coating (hypromellose, stearic acid, sunflower lecithin, triethyl citrate, sunflower oil).
Användning
Adults: 1 tablet once or twice a day, preferably with food. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Varningar
Do not use if you are pregnant, may become pregnant or are breastfeeding. For adults only; not for people over 70. Do not use if you take cholesterol-lowering medication (especially statins) or other products containing red yeast rice, or if you have liver disease or a history of statin intolerance – consult a doctor first. If muscle pain or weakness occurs, stop use and consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place.
