Beskrivning
NOW Foods Glucomannan Pure Powder is soluble konjac root fibre (Amorphophallus konjac) with nothing added. Stirred into water before a meal, it swells and gives a feeling of fullness.
Glucomannan in the context of an energy-restricted diet contributes to weight loss (beneficial effect with 3 g a day, taken in three doses of 1 g, each with 1–2 glasses of water, before meals).

Ingredienser
Per ½ level teaspoon (about 2 g): glucomannan (from konjac root) 2,000 mg; energy 5 kcal; carbohydrate 2 g, of which fibre 2 g.
Other ingredients: none.
Användning
Adults: ½ level teaspoon once or twice a day, stirred into at least 250 ml of water and drunk immediately, 30–45 minutes before a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Varningar
Always take with at least 250 ml of water – without enough liquid glucomannan can swell in the throat and cause choking. Do not use if you have ever had narrowing of the oesophagus or difficulty swallowing, and do not take just before bedtime. Seek medical help immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty swallowing or breathing. Take medication at least 1 hour before or 4 hours after glucomannan. For adults only. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place. Do not eat the freshness packet.
