Beskrivelse

NOW Foods Methyl Folate provides folate in its biologically active form, (6S)-5-MTHF, as patented Quatrefolic®. Unlike folic acid, it does not need to be converted by the body, which makes it a good choice for people with reduced conversion (e.g. MTHFR variants).

Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, to normal blood formation, to normal homocysteine metabolism, to normal psychological function and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Ingredienser

Per tablet: folate 1,700 µg DFE (1,000 µg (6S)-5-MTHF, from Quatrefolic® glucosamine salt).

Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid (vegetable source), silicon dioxide.

Anvendelse

Adults: 1 tablet a day with a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Advarsler

For adults only. High doses of folate may mask vitamin B-12 deficiency – older people and those with impaired B-12 absorption should have their B-12 status checked regularly. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication (especially phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone or methotrexate) or have a malabsorption condition. Keep out of reach of children. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place.
