Holland & Barrett Folic Acid + Vitamin D3 provides the 400 µg daily dose of folic acid recommended for women planning a pregnancy and in early pregnancy, together with vitamin D.

Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus (beneficial effect with 400 µg supplemental folic acid daily for at least one month before and up to three months after conception).

Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.

Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and to the maintenance of normal bones.

Ingredienser
Per tablet: folic acid 400 µg (200% NRV); vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol).
Other ingredients: dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.
Allergens: none.
Anvendelse
Adults: 1 tablet a day with a meal. Women planning a pregnancy: start at least one month before conception and continue for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Advarsler
Consult a doctor if you are taking medication (e.g. anti-epileptics, methotrexate) or have a medical condition. High intakes of folic acid may mask vitamin B12 deficiency. Keep out of reach of children. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place.
