Beskrivning

Cytoplan Pregna-Plan is a high-potency pregnancy multivitamin and mineral for preconception, pregnancy and breastfeeding. It provides beta-carotene instead of preformed vitamin A, 400 µg folate as methylfolate, gentle bisglycinate forms of iron, magnesium and zinc, calcified seaweed calcium, iodine from kelp and vitamin D3, plus ginger root, lutein and blueberry extracts. Suitable for vegans.

Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status; low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus (beneficial effect with 400 µg supplemental folic acid daily for at least one month before and up to three months after conception).
Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin.
Iodine contributes to normal thyroid function.

Användning

Women: 2 tablets a day with food, from preconception through pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Contains iron – accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6; keep strictly out of reach of children and, in case of accidental overdose, contact a doctor or poison control centre immediately. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place. Do not combine with other supplements containing vitamin A. Contains iodine – consult a doctor if you have a thyroid condition.
