NOW Foods Cascara Sagrada contains the bark of Rhamnus purshiana – literally "sacred bark" – which has a long history of traditional use for bowel regularity. It is intended for occasional, short-term use only (no longer than one week).

Ingredients

Per capsule: cascara sagrada bark (Rhamnus purshiana) 450 mg.

Other ingredients: hypromellose (cellulose capsule), stearic acid (vegetable source).

Directions

Adults: 1 capsule at bedtime with a full glass of water. Do not use continuously for more than 1 week. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Warnings

For adults only. Contains cascara sagrada, which has a laxative effect. Do not use if you have or develop diarrhoea, loose stools or abdominal pain. Not for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
