Description
NOW Foods Glucomannan is a soluble, bulk-forming fibre from konjac root (Amorphophallus konjac). Taken with plenty of water before a meal, it swells in the stomach and gives a feeling of fullness.
Glucomannan in the context of an energy-restricted diet contributes to weight loss (beneficial effect with 3 g a day, taken in three doses of 1 g, each with 1–2 glasses of water, before meals).

Ingredients
Per 3 capsules: glucomannan (from konjac root, Amorphophallus konjac) 1,725 mg; energy 5 kcal; carbohydrate 2 g, of which fibre 2 g.
Other ingredients: hypromellose (cellulose capsule), hydroxypropyl cellulose, silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid (vegetable source).
Directions
Adults: 3 capsules once or twice a day with at least 250 ml of water, 30–45 minutes before a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Warnings
Always take with at least 250 ml of water – without enough liquid glucomannan can swell in the throat and cause choking. Do not use if you have ever had narrowing of the oesophagus or difficulty swallowing, and do not take just before bedtime. Seek medical help immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty swallowing or breathing. Take medication at least 1 hour before or 4 hours after glucomannan. For adults only. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place.
