Description

Jarrow Formulas Methyl B-12 & Methyl Folate combines three B vitamins in their active forms: vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, folate as Quatrefolic® – the glucosamine salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), the active form of folate that circulates in the blood and needs no conversion in the body, and vitamin B6 as pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (P-5-P). Lemon-flavoured chewable tablet sweetened with xylitol and stevia.

Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal red blood cell formation and normal homocysteine metabolism.
Vitamin B12 contributes to the normal function of the nervous system and immune system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
Folate contributes to normal blood formation, normal homocysteine metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Folate contributes to normal psychological function and the normal function of the immune system.
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism and normal cysteine synthesis.

Ingredients

Per tablet: vitamin B6 (as pyridoxal 5'-phosphate) 1.5 mg (107% NRV); folate (400 µg as (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid glucosamine salt, Quatrefolic®) 680 µg DFE (340% NRV); vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) 1000 µg (40000% NRV).

Other ingredients: xylitol, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid (vegetable source), natural flavour, citric acid, magnesium stearate (vegetable source), silicon dioxide, steviol glycosides (rebaudioside A).

Allergens: none of the major allergens (free from wheat, gluten, soy, dairy, egg, fish/shellfish, peanuts/tree nuts and sesame).

Directions

Adults: 1 tablet a day, chewed or allowed to dissolve in the mouth. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Warnings

For adults only. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place. High intakes of folate may mask vitamin B12 deficiency. Consult a doctor before use if you are taking anti-epileptic medication or methotrexate. Excessive consumption of xylitol may have a laxative effect.
