Description

Jarrow Formulas Astaxanthin provides 12 mg of natural astaxanthin from AstaPure® – an extract of the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis. Astaxanthin is the red carotenoid pigment responsible for the colour of salmon, shrimp and krill. It is fat-soluble and supplied in safflower and olive oil with mixed tocopherols and rosemary extract.

Ingredients

Per softgel: astaxanthin (from Haematococcus pluvialis algae extract, AstaPure®) 12 mg.

Other ingredients: safflower oil, softgel (bovine gelatin, glycerin, water), mixed tocopherols (antioxidant, from sunflower oil), olive oil, rosemary extract (antioxidant).

Allergens: none of the major allergens.

Directions

Adults: 1 softgel a day with a meal containing fat. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

The dose exceeds the 8 mg a day of astaxanthin considered safe for adults by EFSA – do not combine with other astaxanthin products.
